Bmw Central Locking Not Working On One Door
My door locks failed today.
Bmw central locking not working on one door. Why door lock failure occurs in a bmw 26 mar 18. The door can still manually lock pushing the tab and unlock when pulling the interior handle and i don t hear any sounds when i try to lock unlock with the fob or central button. Remember it wasn t that long ago that we were stuck manually rolling up windows turning a key to start the car and scanning the radio hoping to find a tolerable song to listen to on the radio while we were stuck in rush hour traffic. Central locking button on my 12 plate on dash opens the doors but not the boot is this normal.
Only key in driver door works but all other doors stay closed. Replacing the fuse will correct the problem. Newer cars will usually be fitted with central locking as standard. What the central locking does is open all the doors at the same time.
I searched around first found a handful of threads seemed to be a fuse issue and usually the 15amp fuse is the culprit. A fuse is blown. Taking car to dealer tomorrow. This is done by inserting the key into the lock barrel on one door or using the remote control part of the key.
