Clutch Cable Lube Car
Route it as smoothly as possible.
Clutch cable lube car. Imo these are more protected from water than the clutch hot start side. This way the clutch cables would last a very long time when lubricated. Clutch side i used to never lube and stupidly let the oem one get to the point that it was almost seized. My adjustable clutch cable i had was all bound up like yours it got gummed up in there and the new cable was so much better.
Do it in bursts given the lube needs time to move through the cables sheath. The clutch spring can also be the one causing the noise. If you lube it you could get some dirt particles in their and eventually cause premature stiffen pedal effort or clutch cable failure. My 2013 toyota tacoma stick shift of course developed an annoying creak in the clutch pedal.
Then i depress the clutch lever five or 6 times to facilitate the lube to run down the cable and that is it. It works like a charm and my clutch cable is in perfect condition very smooth. In the end car dealer service departments and savvy car owners like myself turn to lubing the clutch pedal assembly to solve the issue. Finally press the thin metal cylinder to eject all remaining lube inside the tool out through the cable.
